If R&D is the lifeblood of AstraZeneca, Operations is the muscle. It provides the vital link between drug discovery and development, and sales and marketing. Employing 11,600 people in over 18 sites in 16 countries, it’s one of the largest areas of our business, opening up before you a panorama of vibrant, challenging career opportunities.
You could be working on an exciting new product introduction or optimizing the efficiency of manufacturing or supply of an existing product. As new products are developed, it is essential that a new plant is quickly and effectively designed, installed, and commissioned, so that launch dates are met. When the new plant is handed over to production, it is important that processes are robust to meet the needs of the business.
However, not all the focus is on new products, as we manufacture and supply a large number of established healthcare products, and pay very close attention to our overall cost performance.
Graduates will have access to a wide range of training opportunities through a four-year program. This will help improve your technical, project management and interpersonal skills.
